Reading a book

I have started to read a book, 'Daisy Jones & The Six' by Taylor Jenkins, and I have came across with a sentence that I don't know how translate into Spanish: "The truth often lies, unclaimed, in the middle". The literal translation has no sense. It would be something like "La verdad a menudo miente, no reclamada, en el medio". Could you help me? Thanks in advance!
